PLAYLISTS
Create personal playlists, share them with others, and discover system-generated collections. Playlists work across all media types — mix movies, episodes, and music tracks in a single queue.
Cross-Type Playlists
Unlike most media servers that silo playlists by type, FluxPlay playlists can contain any mix of movies, TV episodes, and music tracks. Build a movie night queue that starts with a soundtrack album and ends with the film.
Capabilities
Create & Edit
Create playlists from any media type — movies, TV episodes, music tracks — and reorder items via drag-and-drop.
Sharing & Invites
Invite other users to view or collaborate on a playlist via email or username. Invitees can accept or decline.
System Playlists
Auto-generated playlists like Recently Added, Top Rated, and Continue Watching are maintained automatically.
Permissions
Per-playlist permission levels: Private (owner only), Shared (invited users), and Public (any authenticated user).
Queue Integration
Add an entire playlist to the playback queue with one button. Queue tracks the position so you can resume later.
Collaborative
Collaborators with edit rights can add, remove, and reorder items. A changelog tracks who changed what.
Creating a Playlist
Playlists are created from the Library page, from any media detail page via the "Add to Playlist" button, or from the playback queue. Once created, items can be added from search results or from browsing the library.

System Playlists

The 50 most recently added items across all libraries.
Continue Watching
In-progress items sorted by last watch timestamp.
Top Rated
Highest-rated items weighted by community and metadata scores.
New Releases
Items released in the last 90 days, sorted by release date.
